Children are first nourished with spiritual food, that is the life of Jesus and His Words...
40 children are given out full meals once a day everyday.
The Feeding Ministry Team does the food menu, preparation, cooking, assisting and taking care of the children on this ministry. They follow a strict meal/diet plan to give the children the proper nourishment they needed and to meet the ministry's goal.
There are millions of families in the Philippines living on and below the poverty line. These families are earning less than $1 a day which is not even enough for a whole day's food. Children within these families are often malnourished, eating only once a day without other nutrients needed for their growth. Many of these children are eating food almost enough to survive.
Fairview Christian Congregation felt the need to help these children. We aimed to nourish them both physically and spiritually. They are fed once a day every day while teaching them about salvation, teach them to pray and teach them about the life and love of Jesus Christ.
40 children are being nourished everyday and they are also given school materials for Bible studies and other need. We are praying that this number would grow as we continue to provide them the most basic need of man, physical and spiritual food...
There are more to be done in this ministry. There are still more hungry children in there that we want to reach. We want to meet our target of having over a hundred children to be fed and nourished as well as extending this ministry to other areas that need outreaches. This task is beyond our capabilities and resources. This could not be done without your precious help. We still need your support!
